Dates Fritters | Dates Fry
INGREDIENTS:
- Whole dates(seed removed) - 12-15 numbers
BATTER:
- Maida (all-purpose flour) - 1/2 cup
- Atta (wheat flour) - 1/2 cup
- Baking soda - a pinch
- Sugar
- Water
METHOD:
- Give a cut on the dates and take out the seeds.
- In a bowl, add maida, atta, baking soda, and sugar.
- Add water and make a thick paste.
OIL FRY:
- In a pan, heat oil.
- Once the oil is hot, dip each dates in the batter and fry until golden brown.
- Date fritters are ready. serve hot!
IN PANIYARAM PAN:
- Heat the paniyaram pan with some oil in each hole.
- Fill 3/4 th of the hole with the prepared batter.
- On top of the batter, add dates.
- Once cooked, flip it using a spoon and cook the other side until they are fully done.
TIPS:
- You can also use only maida, which makes it much tastier.
- You can also use only atta, which makes it much healthier.
