Dates Fritters | Dates Fry

INGREDIENTS:

  • Whole dates(seed removed) - 12-15 numbers

BATTER:

  • Maida (all-purpose flour) - 1/2 cup
  • Atta (wheat flour) - 1/2 cup
  • Baking soda - a pinch
  • Sugar 
  • Water

METHOD:

    1. Give a cut on the dates and take out the seeds.
    2. In a bowl, add maida, atta, baking soda, and sugar.
    3. Add water and make a thick paste.

OIL FRY:

    1. In a pan, heat oil.
    2. Once the oil is hot, dip each dates in the batter and fry until golden brown.
    3. Date fritters are ready. serve hot!

IN PANIYARAM PAN:

    1. Heat the paniyaram pan with some oil in each hole.
    2.  Fill 3/4 th of the hole with the prepared batter.
    3. On top of the batter, add dates.
    4. Once cooked, flip it using a spoon and cook the other side until they are fully done.

TIPS:

  • You can also use only maida, which makes it much tastier.
  • You can also use only atta, which makes it much healthier.
