Mutton Pepper Roast

INGREDIENTS:

  • Mutton - 400 g

FOR COOKING MUTTON:

  • Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
  • Salt 
  • Chilli powder - 2 tsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tbsp
  • Green chili paste - 1 tsp
  • Water

FOR ROASTING:

  • Coconut oil
  • Whole black peppercorns - 2 tbsp
  • Onion - 2
  • Capsicum - 1
  • Shallots - 12
  • Green chili - 2
  • Curry leaves - 2 sprig
  • Pepper powder - 2 - 3 tbsp

METHOD:

FOR COOKING:

    1. In a pressure cooker, add mutton, along with all ingredients mentioned under "cooking mutton".
    2. Let it cook for about 5-6 whistles or till the mutton becomes soft and tender.

FOR ROASTING:

    1. In a pan, heat coconut oil and add Whole black peppercorns.
    2. Add onion and shallots. Saute till they become transparent.
    3. Add green chili, capsicum and curry leaves. Saute well.
    4. Add cooked mutton without stock.
    5. Add pepper powder and saute well. Serve hot!
