Crispy Onion Rings

INGREDIENTS:

  • Onion - 2 
  • Maida - 4 tbsp
  • Corn flour  - 2  tbsp
  • Rice flour - 1  tbsp
  • Chilli powder - 2  tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • Water 
  • Breadcrumbs 
  • Oil - for frying

METHOD:

    1. Cut the onions into 1/2 cm slices and separate into rings.
    2. In a bowl add maida, cornflour, rice flour, chili powder, ginger - garlic paste, salt, and pepper powder. Gradually add water and whisk until smooth and thick.
    3. Dip onion rings in the batter, then coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat with all the rings.
    4. In a pan, heat oil.
    5. Fry onion ring in batches until golden and crisp.
    6.  Transfer to a paper towel to drain. Serve hot.
