Bachelor's Mutton Curry


INGREDIENTS:


    • Mutton - 500 g
    • Garam masala - ½ tsp
    • Pepper powder - 1 tsp

MARINATE:


    • Onion - 2 (chopped)
    • Tomato -2
    • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp 
    • Green chili - 3
    • Curry leaves - 1 sprig
    • Chilli powder - 3 tsp
    • Turmeric powder - ¼ tsp
    • Coriander powder - 2 tsp
    • Salt - to taste


SEASONING:


    • Oil
    • Curry leaves
    • Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
    • Onion -1


METHOD:


  1. In a cooker, add the ingredients mentioned under "marinate"  along with mutton thoroughly with hands. 
  2. Squeeze to make sure that the tomato juice is out. Add ¼ cup of water.
  3. Let it cook for about 5-6 whistles or till the mutton becomes soft and tender.
  4. In a pan, heat oil, add curry leaves and splutter fennel seeds.
  5. Add onion and saute till it turns brown.
  6. Pour this seasoning into the cooker and add garam masala and pepper powder.
  7. Let it boil till the gravy reaches the required consistency.

TIPS:

  • You can vary the amount of chili and pepper powders to suit your spice level.
