In a manchatti or pan, add peeled mangoes along with turmeric powder, chili powder, salt, green chili, and curry leaves. Add enough water to cover the mangoes.
Boil till the mangoes are well cooked and soft.
Grind together the ingredients listed under ‘grind’ with little water to form a nice coarse paste.
Now add coconut paste, cook in low flame for at least 3-5 minutes until the raw smell of coconut mixture leaves.
In a pan, heat coconut oil.
Splutter mustard seeds and fenugreek.
Fry dry red chilies and curry leaves.
Pour this into the curry, mix well and serve hot.
TIPS:
You can also add yogurt before seasoning.
Make sure you don't boil after adding yogurt.
If the mango is not sweet enough, add little sugar or jaggery.
