INGREDIENTS:
- Ridge Gourd -
1
- Green Chilly - 2
- Garlic - 3
cloves
- Coconut Oil - ½ tbs
- Dry red
Chilli - 2
- Curry Leaves
- 2 sprigs
- Black mustard
seeds - ½ tsp
- Salt as
required
- Water
METHOD:
- In a mannchatti or kadai, add the chopped ridge gourd, curry leaves, salt and green chilies (slit).
- Now add ¾ to 1 cup water.
- Cover the mannchatti with a lid so that the water doesn't evaporate.
- The ridge gourd has to be cooked till its tender.
- There will be some water remaining in the pan and its fine.
- In a small pan, heat coconut oil.
- Splutter mustard seeds and fry dry red chilies and curry leaves.
- Add crushed garlic and saute well.
- Pour this into the mannchatti, mix well and serve hot!.
