Homemade Pizza Sauce

INGREDIENTS:

    • Onion - 2
    • Tomato - 3
    • Garlic - 6 cloves
    • Dry red chili - 3 numbers
    • Water - 1/2cup
    • Oil - 1 tbsp
    • Oregano - 1 tsp
    • Sugar - 1 tsp
    • Chilli flakes - 1 tsp
    • Chilli powder - 1 tsp
    • Pepper powder - ¼ tsp
    • Tomato Ketchup -2tbsp
    • Vinegar - 1/4tsp
    • Salt  -  to taste

 METHOD:

    1. In a cooker add onion, garlic, tomato, dry red chili, and water.
    2. Cook for 2 whistles in medium flame. 
    3. After cooling down, peel tomatoes and remove the eyes of the tomatoes.
    4. Put the cooked veggies from the cooker into the blender and grind to make a fine paste. 
    5. In a pan, heat oil.
    6. Add these paste and cook for about 2 minutes.
    7. Add salt, sugar, tomato ketchup, chili powder, chili flakes, pepper powder, vinegar, and oregano.
    8. Cook well till the raw smell goes. Stir occasionally.
    9. Serve as a topping for pizza.

TIPS:

    • Make a Crisscross (+)on the base of the tomatoes as it helps in easy peeling. 
    • The leftover pizza sauce can be refrigerated.
