Vegetable Pizza Without Oven / Pan -Pizza and Kadai - Pizza / No Oven Pizza Recipe




INGREDIENTS:


FOR PIZZA DOUGH:


    • Maida - 1 ½ cup
    • Sugar - 2 tbsp
    • Salt -  ½  tsp
    • Yeast - ½   tbsp
    • Warm water  



FOR TOPPINGS:


    • Pizza sauce - 2 tbsp
    • Mozzarella cheese - ½  cup
    • Onion - ¼ cup
    • Red Capsicum - ¼ cup
    • Green Capsicum - ¼ cup
    • Sliced Green olives 
    • Boiled sweet corn 
    • Tomato 
    • Oregano 
    • Chilli flakes 



METHOD:


MAKING PIZZA DOUGH:




    1. In a small bowl, add warm water, sugar, and dry yeast. Give a quick mix.
    2. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes or  till it becomes frothy
    3. In a large mixing bowl, add maida, salt, oil, and the frothy yeast mixture.
    4. Add water as required.
    5. Knead the dough into a smooth, springy ball.
    6. Apply some oil all over the dough and cover it with a wet cloth or lid.
    7. Allow the dough to rise and double in size.
    8. It may take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours depending on the weather condition.

ASSEMBLING AND MAKING VEG PIZZA:

 i.  PIZZA ON TAWA:
    1. With a roller, gently roll to a slightly thin round pizza (1/2 inch thickness).
    2. Prick the pizza base with a fork.
    3.  keep a Tava / wide pan / lid / Kadai.
    4. On top of that place a  heavy bottom pan.
    5. Heat the pan and brush some oil.
    6. Transfer the pizza base to the hot pan.
    7. Close and cook for about 3-4 minutes on low flame.
    8. Flip it to the other side.
    9. Now apply some pizza sauce.
    10. Add shredded mozzarella cheese.
    11. To that add onions, red capsicum, green capsicum, sweetcorn, green olives, and tomato.
    12. Add shredded mozzarella cheese again.
    13. Sprinkle a pinch of oregano and chili flakes
    14. Drizzle a drop of oil on the top and edges of the pizza. (optional)
    15. Cover with a lid and let the pizza cook on a low flame or sim.
    16. Cook veg pizza till the base becomes golden and crisp and the cheese has melted. (10- 15 minutes)
    17. You can also sprinkle red chili flakes, Oregano on top of the pizza while serving.
ii. PIZZA ON KADAI:
    1. Take a Kadai and keep it on low flame .cover it and preheat it for 5 mins. (you can spread around 1 or 2 cups of sand or salt at the bottom of the Kadai.)
    2. Meanwhile, with a roller, gently roll to a slightly thin round pizza (1/2 inch thickness).
    3. Prick the pizza base with a fork.
    4. Take baking tray/cake tin / an aluminum lid.
    5. Transfer the pizza base to it.
    6. Apply some pizza sauce.
    7. Add shredded mozzarella cheese.
    8. To that add onions, red capsicum, green capsicum, sweetcorn, green olives, and tomato.
    9. Add shredded mozzarella cheese again.
    10. Sprinkle a pinch of oregano and chili flakes.
    11. Place a stand / table-ring inside the hot pan in the center.[ be careful as the kadai is hot ].
    12. Now place the tray with the pizza.
    13. The edge of the tray should not touch the edge of the pan. There should be a gap between the pan and the tray.
    14. Cover with a lid and let the pizza cook on a medium flame.
    15. Cook veg pizza till the base becomes golden and crisp and the cheese has melted. (10- 15 minutes).
    16. You can also sprinkle red chili flakes, Oregano on top of the pizza while serving.

TIPS:

    • If you want to make pizza sauce at home. Refer Homemade Pizza Sauce.
    • You can also bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes at 200 degrees c till the base becomes golden brown and the cheese on top melts and gets browned.
    • Leftover pizza dough can be refrigerated or frozen. If frozen, it stays well for a month.
    • You can also use a readymade pizza base.
